Here’s the continuation of my Zamboanga del Norte Escapo...
After more or less two hours of touring and doing PhotoWalk in Rizal Shrine, we then proceed to our main destination for the day- the Dakak Beach Resort.
The beach resort is less than 30 minutes travel from the Rizal Shrine. We paid the 500 pesos (per person) entrance fee -day tour fee ba tawag dun? Good to know that the payment includes complementary “one meal of your choice” in Il Patio - an Italian Restaurant. Since it’s around 1:00 pm (that time), we decided to avail the complementary meal before
exploring and enjoying the infamous beach resort.

Sino ba naman hindi pamilyar sa Dakak? 1990's TV ad in Eat Bulaga makes me dream of going to this paradise cove in Zamboanga del Norte . Grade 2 or 3 ba ako nun tapos nakikipanood lang ng TV 'pag tanghali hehehe.
Visiting Dakak is really an awesome experience. Beautiful cove and powdery sand beach - Dakak is no longer a dream for me.

ganda! when i was a kid i used to tink na around luzon lang ang dakak dahil everyday nga may advert sa eat bulaga, then again sa mindanao pala siya.

The fusion of the white sands and the blue water is really breath taking. I remember the Dakak Ad back in the 90s. I hope DOT make a new feature about the place.

ReplyDeleteang ganda talaga ng dakak, and with your photos, mas maganda pa sya lalo. was there late 90's, libre lang because of work, ang hirap na bumalik ulit, ang mahal eh. ;)

To what city do you need to fly to go to Dakak? I have heard about it a long time, but I have no idea how to go there.

ReplyDeleteI would have to agree that when you mention 'Dakak', I always associate it or remember its name because of Eat Bulaga. :) I actually was supposed to book a trip there last year. But I've managed to go somewhere else. Then again, I'm sure I'll still be able to visit this beautiful place -- as I haven't been to Zamboanga del Norte yet. :)
ReplyDeleteDakak has been known as a good beach long back then, but now are overpowered with new beaches that are introduced. Though the beach still look the same, hope they can improve their advertising skills for I find it lacking... :D
ReplyDelete@Myk:tama Myk- they should explore the advantage of advertising also in other TV networks. Also, in Social Media just like other private-owned beach resorts are doing.

ReplyDeleteI can't recall that Pinoy film where Dakak was forst promoted. Yes, noon pa man napakaganda na nito and almost maintains its beauty with the passing of time. I am quite sure that Dakak was promoted ahead of Boracay.

ReplyDeleteSecond, it's interesting how this place has an archery range. I go to a lot of resorts yearly, but this would be the first one I've heard of that features it prominently. Should be worth a visit :)

I had really a good memory in Dakak during my college days (Rizal Class) I think it's getting better and more touristy now. Can't wait to go back there with Sky.

ReplyDeleteDAKAK used to be very popular 20 years back, then came BORACAY and other beach destinations that offer impressive recreational activities. Good to see that its beauty can still captivates tourist.
